Delhi is witnessing slower growth rates …
· Mobile subscriber base of Delhi increased by 9.46% during FY2012 to reach 42.5million
· Active wireless subscriber base in Delhi is 74.55% resulting in 31.7million active mobile users
· Active subscriber base in Delhi increased by 17.22% during FY2012 compared with national average of 19.00%
· By March 2012, Delhi is 12th largest wireless telecom market in India accounting for 4.64% of total active subscriber base
· By March 2012, Delhi registered 1,748,385 Mobile Number Portability (MNP) requests, resulting into churn rate of 4.11%
Vodafone leads three-way battle driven by higher proportion of active subscribers...
· Reliance leads Delhi wireless telecom market with 20.64% of total subscriber base followed by Bharti Airtel (20.6%), Vodafone (20.3%), Idea (11.2%) and Tata (10.8%)
· Vodafone extends market share in terms of active subscriber base as 90.4% of its mobile subscribers are active compared with 82.1% for Airtel and 77.6% for Reliance
· As a result, Vodafone leads Delhi wireless market with 24.6% share followed by Airtel (22.7%) and Reliance (21.5%)
· Top 5 players accounts for 89.0% of Delhi’s active mobile subscriber base
