Himachal Pradesh (H.P.) has active subscriber base of 5.91 million…
·         Mobile subscriber base of Himachal Pradesh (H.P.) declined by 11.99% during FY2013 to reach 7.02million, 4th worst performing market in India
·         Active wireless subscriber base in Himachal Pradesh (H.P.) is  84.24% resulting in 5.91million active mobile users
·         Active subscriber base in Himachal Pradesh (H.P.) increased by 4.32% during FY2013 compared with national average of 5.86%
·         By March 2013, out of 22 telecom circles in India Himachal Pradesh (H.P.) is 22nd largest wireless telecom market accounting for 0.82% of total active subscriber base, down from 21st position during FY2012

Airtel establishes itself as dominant player with 33.0% market share….
·         In Himachal Pradesh (H.P.) wireless telecom market, Bharti leads with 28.2% share in terms of total subscriber base followed by BSNL (23.3%), Reliance (22.0%) and Aircel (10.2%)
·         However, 98.5% of Airtel’s mobile subscribers are active compared with 66.4% for BSNL and 83.8% for Reliance
·         As a result, in terms of active subscriber base, Bharti leads with 33.0% market share followed by Reliance (21.8%) and BSNL (18.4%)
·         India’s second largest mobile telecom player, Vodafone, is yet to establish itself in H.P. with just 8.9% share of active users while Tata DoCoMo exited the market due to its inability to establish itself as stronger player in hilly state
·         Top 5 players accounts for 91.1% of H.P.’s active mobile subscriber base
