Active subscriber base in India estimated as 85.79% of total users. Hence, active tele-density in India at the end of December 2016 is 77.13%. Nation Capital Delhi has the highest active tele-density in India at 211.38% followed by Himachal Pradesh (118.22%) and Tamil Nadu (105.28%). Tele-density is one of most important indicator of development and penetration of telecom services in any market. Also, higher tele-density signifies higher adoption rate of telecom services. Telecom circles with higher tele-density are more likely to adopt value added services increasing revenue potential for telecom companies.
